Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
What are Microsoft Azure Fundamentals?
The Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification is role-based. It validated the candidate’s knowledge of Azure and its services. This certification is only possible if you have passed the AZ-900 exam. This exam is significantly lighter than the other certification exams in the Azure series. The certification is open to both technical and non-technical candidates. No prerequisites are required for the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification. Experience in cloud programming and programming is not required. This certification is for people who are involved in the purchase and sale of cloud services. The exam is a great precursor to other Azure certifications, but it is not a mandatory prerequisite for those certifications. The certification exam is a good start for IT professionals in particular, such as those who are looking to take on the important roles of solution architect, system administrator, developer, and developer in Azure.
Cloud Concepts
Cloud concepts make up 15-20% of the certification exam. This requires understanding
Availability is primarily the time a service would run uninterrupted without any interruptions.
A system’s resilience is its ability to manage and handle extremely difficult situations. Unplanned or planned system maintenance, software updates, and disasters are just a few of the possible interruptions.
Cloud concepts relevant to this certification segment include latency, bandwidth, scaleability, cloud agility and fault tolerance.
Understanding the differences between Capital Expenditure and Operational Expenditure is important. This is the amount of money that is spent on infrastructure, services and products. OpEx is more expensive upfront than CapEx.

Describe the differences between Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
describe Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
IaaS lets you rent hardware to run applications. Its computing and management happens over the internet, making it a flexible cloud-based service.
describe Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
PaaS allows for the creation, testing, and deployment of software applications. Cloud-based application development and deployment allows users to avoid the infrastructure management involved in creating an application.
describe Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
SaaS is useful to customers and the application is hosted and managed for them.
Describe the differences among Hybrid, Private, and Public cloud models
Describe Public cloud
Multiple organizations can use the public cloud resources. The internet allows for connectivity and availability.
Describe the Private Cloud
Private cloud resources are only available to a specific organization that is responsible for the maintenance and management. The connection is made over a private network.
Describe hybrid cloud
Hybrid cloud reserves some resources for the private cloud, while the rest are available on the public cloud for multiple users. The private cloud retains management control and can help reduce costs.
